Crime boss Jax is looking to hire someone to sneak into an estate and steal a dangerous book that looks super cursed. He was also willing to pay a lot for it. So, enter our main characters the Neko thief Akari and her sassy, scaly sidekick Banks!
They’re strapped for cash and still have rent to pay, so it was a no-brainer for them to take the easiest high-paying job they could find. After all, they broke into houses and stole things on almost a daily basis. That meant this would be a guaranteed cake walk for them.
Or so they thought.
Now, since nothing can be simple or easy, Akari discovers that the estate she’ll be breaking into belongs to her old mentor. Fantastic. But to make matters worse, there was no getting out of it.
Why? Oh well, that’s because Akari had already signed a strict blood contract! If she didn’t hold up her end of the deal, then she could drop dead the second the contract expired. Heh… wonderful…
Seeing as it was too late to back out now, all Akari and Banks could do was to push forward and get that bag. Cause you know, they had rent to pay.
However, keep in mind that nothing can ever be simple or easy.
